HANDPAN ESSENTIALS WITH PETER BOGNAR on Thursday 19th Morning

This beginner-friendly workshop is another opportunity for complete beginners to explore the handpan and start building a strong foundation in a relaxed and supportive environment.

In this session we will continue working with the essential playing techniques, while focusing more on rhythmic patterns and how different musical elements can be combined. Participants will learn how rhythm, melody, and chords can interact on the instrument, and how simple musical ideas can be developed through small variations.

Just like in the other Essentials workshop, we will play group-based beginner pieces, where participants take on different musical roles such as rhythm, chord, and melody sections, creating a shared musical experience together.

We will also explore meditative hand patterns and flowing hand movements, helping players develop a natural and relaxed playing style. Some pieces will focus more on rhythmic grooves, while others will highlight chords or slower, more atmospheric playing styles.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who is new to the handpan and would like to discover the instrument through simple music, group playing, and an inspiring first musical experience. ✨
