This course is designed for complete beginners who would like to discover the handpan and learn the fundamentals from the very beginning. During the sessions we will explore the most important basic techniques, including the fundamental strokes and various rhythmic elements. Participants will also learn about the layout of the scale, how the notes are arranged on the instrument, and how to comfortably position the body and hands while playing. We will learn about basic playing positions, how to sit with the handpan, and how to produce clear and beautiful sounds with relaxed and natural movements. In addition to the technical basics, we will also play simple beginner-friendly group pieces. This course is a friendly and accessible introduction to the handpan, perfect for anyone who is curious about the instrument and would like to experience the joy of playing music together. ✨
